The Broadened Horizons Organic Farm is a small, family operated teaching farm dedicated to the learning, the leading, and the teaching of sustainable based agricultural practices.

Our working, restored farm serves as our living outdoor laboratory for the natural restoration of native soil fertility, slow release water retention, and the reforestation effort to create a diverse woodland canopy on portions of a former abused, rundown, and degraded cattle farm.

Its' educational component is an outreach program that sponsors workshops in subjects of new farm or homestead start-up, permaculture design, earth systems awareness, organic gardening, rainwater collection and retention, and simple construction techniques to increase a building's energy efficiency and livability.

We also conduct off-farm consultation work for clients interested in permaculture-based garden, land and water resources placement and design.
